Year 5b Arbeia Trip

On Friday, Year 5b visited the Arbeia Roman Fort in South Shields to end our learning on the Romans in Britain. The children learnt all about the main purpose of the fort and how the Roman soldiers would have lived whilst based there. They learnt about why the fort was situated where is was and how it would have been defended. The children really enjoyed our visit and having the opportunity to see what we have been learning about in real life.
