Year 4 trip to the Winter Gardens

On Friday 13th, Year 4 went and explored the Sunderland Winter Gardens. The children took part in a workshop exploring the different layers of a rainforest and look at some of the produce you would find in the rainforest. They then went and explored the indoor rainforest whilst doing a treasure hunt. 

This linked to our geography topic in which we have been exploring the Amazon rainforest. We also took pictures of rain forest leaves to help with our art topic.
