Year 4 Trip to the Mosque
Our Year 4 Trip to the Mosque was a lovely experience for the children and for parents watching them learn. The visit was well organised and made everyone feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The children were given an informative insight into the mosque and its role in the community. They were encouraged to ask questions and listen carefully, which helped them understand more about Islamic traditions and everyday life. They also had the chance to explore the mosque making the whole session engaging and practical.
It was also a building experience in terms of confidence and understanding, linking what they learned in class to real places and real people. We especially appreciated the way the session included stories connected to the Islamic, helping the children see wider history and on their learning journey. Especially as we have been studying the Early Islamic empire in history.
