Year 2 win VEX 123 Challenge
Mr Burfield and eight children from Year 2 spent the day at Gateshead College last week taking part in the VEX 123 challenge.
It was a fantastic day split into two parts. In the morning, the teams were manually programming their robots and in the afternoon the children programmed their robots using block code strips and their code reader.
The most rewarding part of the day was watching our children interact with other teams, build resilience through overcoming problems and develop their coding skills.
Our girls team, curly girls, won the event with the highest overall score when the two elements were added. Well done Curly Girls.
