Year 2 Quayside Trip
Mr Burfield's class enjoyed a very soggy trip to the Quayside yesterday.
Mr Burfield was blown away by the creativity on show when the children explore a number of different activities in the Baltic. The children used their observational skills to draw a bridge. Then, they drew another building from memory. They also created a picture where they weren't allowed to remove their pencil from the page.
Finally, the children worked in teams building bridges using only paper, card and a pair of scissors. It was amazing watching the children problem solve and come up with lots of different ways of joining material.
After lunch, the class returned outside to the rain and completed their historical tour of the Quayside. They looked at how the Quayside has changed over the last hundred years.
A very wet but enjoyable day!
