World Book Day in Nursery

Last week our Nursery children had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day with our fun theme of “Crazy Hair!”

 

We began by reading the lovely story The Tangle Fairy, which inspired lots of laughter and imagination. The children loved talking about the funny tangles in the story and thinking about what their own magical, crazy hairstyles might look like!

 

Our classroom was full of creativity throughout the day. The children practised their scissor skills by snipping noodles that looked just like curly hair, and they created their own crazy hair paper plate faces, designing some very wild and colourful hairstyles.

 

We spent time reading lots of classic children’s stories together and talking about the books we love most. It was lovely to hear the children recommending their favourite books and sharing why they enjoy them so much.

 

World Book Day was a brilliant celebration of stories, imagination, and creativity. Well done to all our Nursery children for joining in so enthusiastically—and thank you to families for helping create such amazing crazy hair!
