Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

In our geography topic this term, the children in the Year 5/6 class have been studying the impact of climate change on the world.  The children have been considering what we can do to help reduce our personal impact on the production of greenhouse gases which cause global warming.  Sadly, only 10% of all the UK's plastic waste actually gets recycled.  The children decided to make posters to encourage everyone around school to reduce, resuse or recycle plastic.  Here is the definition of what this means: 

Reduce means to minimise the amount of plastic waste we create.

Reuse refers to using plastic items more than once.

Recycle means putting a plastic product to a new use instead of throwing it away.
