Reception Visit to the Library

Reception had a wonderful visit to Pelaw Library and enjoyed a lovely afternoon all about stories and reading.

When we arrived, we were introduced to the friendly librarians who read us a story. The children joined in with actions and had lots of laughs at the funny parts!

After the story, we spent time reading books with our special grown-ups and sharing our favourite moments together. The children then drew pictures of their favourite parts of the story, showing great creativity and recall.

We used our new special centennial library cards to borrow books and practised taking our books out properly. The children also showed fantastic manners by remembering to say thank you to the librarians.

To finish our visit, everyone chose a book to bring home and enjoy. We are so proud of how well the children listened, joined in and showed their love of reading.
