Reception Puppet Workshop

Reception had a fantastic time working in partnership with the Theatre Royal and freelance artist Anna to create some amazing World Cup themed animal mascots out of socks!

The children used lots of different materials and techniques to bring their ideas to life. They coloured in, cut and stuck paper and fabric, carefully cutting out different shapes and decorating their mascots with pom poms and googly eyes. Everyone showed wonderful creativity and imagination throughout the activity.

The best part was that the children could decide which animal they wanted to create. We had a fantastic variety of mascots including unicorns, leopards, cheetahs, dragons and dinosaurs! Each one was unique and full of personality.

Reception had so much fun designing and making their mascots and were very proud of their creations. Can you guess which animals they are?
