Reception had a wonderful time taking part in Gardening Club this week. The children enjoyed getting hands-on and creative as they made their very own grass heads using plant pots, soil, and grass seeds. Everyone carefully filled their pots and planted the seeds, ready to watch their grass grow over the next few weeks.

The children also learned how to look after their plants by watering them carefully and making sure they get plenty of sunlight to help them stay healthy and grow strong. They were very excited to learn what plants need to survive and enjoyed checking on their grass heads throughout the session.

As part of the activity, the children enjoyed talking about different flowers, sharing their favourite colours, and discussing where flowers grow. They also had the opportunity to colour in their own beautiful flower pictures, showing lots of creativity and imagination.

Well done to all of Reception for their fantastic gardening skills and enthusiasm! We cannot wait to see everyone’s grass heads begin to grow.
