Nursery's Trip to the Library
Our Nursery children recently enjoyed a lovely trip to the local library. They walked there and back sensibly, demonstrating excellent listening skills and road awareness along the way.
At the library, the children had time to explore a wide range of books, sparking curiosity and a love of reading. They then listened carefully to a festive Christmas story about a cheeky elf, which captured everyone’s attention and led to lots of smiles and giggles. The children also enjoyed colouring an elf picture, taking time to add their own creative touches.
One of the most exciting parts of the visit was choosing a library book to bring back to Nursery. The children were especially proud to be allowed to stamp the return date into their books themselves, making them feel very grown up and responsible.
This trip was a wonderful opportunity to support early literacy, independence, and community awareness, and the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
