Nursery's Trip to Forest School
On Monday, our Nursery children enjoyed a wonderful adventure at Forest School, full of exploration, creativity, and teamwork.
One of the highlights of the day was helping to build a fantastic bug hotel. The children worked together to a special ground floor space designed as a cosy home for hedgehogs. They carefully gathered natural materials and showed great enthusiasm in making a safe and welcoming habitat for woodland creatures.
The children also took on the important task of collecting sticks to help build a fire. They listened carefully to instructions and demonstrated excellent cooperation as they gathered the right materials. Once the fire was ready, everyone had the chance to enjoy a special treat—cooking sweets over the fire! It was a memorable experience, and the children were delighted to taste what they had prepared.
Music and creativity were also part of our day. Using sticks as musical instruments, the children explored different sounds and rhythms. This led to a joyful group singing session, where they used their “instruments” to accompany their songs, filling the forest with music and laughter.
It was a fantastic day that encouraged teamwork, creativity, and a deeper connection with nature. We are so proud of how the children engaged with each activity and supported one another throughout the day.
