Heart Workshop
Year 5 and 6 had a fantastic hands-on experience this week as part of their science learning on the circulatory system.
Science Buddies visited the school to deliver an engaging workshop, where the children had the unique opportunity to get up close and even dissect a real heart. During the session, they identified key features including the chambers, arteries and valves, gaining a deeper understanding of how the heart works to keep blood flowing in one direction.
The children were particularly surprised by how light the hearts were! It was a brilliant and memorable experience that really brought their learning to life.
