Bagels

Today, Year 5b have been baking bagels as part of their DT lessons. First we began with a taste test of different types of bread to decide what we liked. The children then planned what they would make, before learning how to make a simple dough. They worked together and practised their measuring and mixing skills. They shaped their own bagels before baking them and then once they were ready, they prepared their own fillings before assembling them.
