Children in Need 2011
Thank you to everyone who helped to support our Children in Need efforts.
Once again the staff, parents and children of Wardley Primary School admirably responded to the challenge of having to raise as much money as possible for Children in Need.
The children spent a fun filled day by: sponging teachers, playing stick the tail on Spot the dog, Twister and musical spots. They also used 1p and 2p coins to make famous Gateshead and Newcastle landmarks - our very own Wardley Turner Prize event.
There was also a guess the famous celebrity quiz and a child from each class received a certificate for being the spottiest dressed child. There was also a raffle to win an enormous Christmas tree cake and a guess the number of Skittles in a jar competition. All the events were approved by the School Council, who enjoyed judging the Wardley Turner Prize.
All the children enjoyed their day and we managed to raise a very impressive £758.85.
We really appreciated all the delicious cakes that were donated for our cake stalls. Thanks again for your continued support!
