Red Nose Day

On Friday 19th March, Wardley Primary School went all red for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day. The children and teachers came to school in their finest shades of rouge or in their favourite outfits to mark the occasion, with a full day planned of exciting and gooey activities. This year's theme was to do 'Something Funny for Money' and Wardley Primary took this one step further and made it 'Something Runny Funny for Money'. The bravest of children were sponsored to stand in a mixture of cold spaghetti and custard for a whole minute, ensuring they dug their toes into the mush beneath them. Following this, the children then had the opportunity to throw soggy sponges into the faces of their teachers, drenching them from head to toe. A huge selection of cakes and biscuits then went on sale for children to buy and eat whilst they completed a fun red nose day quiz, created silly faces and built wobbly towers with their pennies.

The day was a HUGE success as Wardley Primary School raised a staggering £1848.49!

An enormous THANK YOU to everyone for their contributions and efforts, which made the day such a success!

More photographs from the successful day!
