The children from Year 2 were doing 'Big Writing' about Red Nose Day today. They started the day with a range of different activities to prepare them for writing a recount of their day. The children worked in groups to generate the following: a range of sentence openers, different connectives to join sentences and a variety of expressive vocabulary. During the independent writing session itself, the children wrote their recount.
