Thank You.gif

I would like to say a really big thank you to families for their support over the last few days. The weather conditions have been challenging but we have endeavoured to battle on, make some changes and stay open.

The staff have shown fantastic dedication and have all managed to get in from a wide variety of places; helping to dig out paths before setting up their classes.

I would like to say thank you to all parents and carers who have shown patience and understanding with regards to the management of the entry and collection of children. We attempted a new system at the end of the day on Tuesday, which went very smoothly with your help. As a result, we will use this system under these types of conditions from now on.

The most up-to-date information can be found on our school website which will be changed daily. We have found that some people are confused by the council website and as a result we will not be using it. Although some people will choose to phone we cannot answer the phones until 8.00am as anyone in school earlier is busy digging.

Our aim is to be open every day. This weather could last days, weeks or even longer and we need to continue the education of the children. We will try to open even if we have to run on a skeletal staff and will only close if we don't have enough staff for an adaquate adult/pupil ratio. We have a number of measures in place now which could be implemented if some staff were not able to get into school.

We understand that it can be very difficult for some families to get to and from school and would encourage friends and neighbours to support each other where possible.

Please take care over the next few days and let us know if you have any ideas of ways we can improve the way we are managing the situation.

Mr Malik
