Peter the Great
On Monday 1st June we started our new 'Sporting Heroes' topic. We knew that we had to expect something special as our entry point (after eating chocolate and cooking chilli) but we were not expecting to meet an actual famous professional sporting hero. To our amazement, Peter Beardsley arrived at our school with two Newcastle United Foundation coaches and we spent the afternoon learning more about fitness and the life of an athlete. In addition, we played some games to help us improve our football skills and we also learned about hydration.
Peter Beardsley was fantastic and most of us had the chance to ask him a question about his career. Mr Scott said: "I have had the best day of my school life!"
Deano and Ben were great and they taught us all about how to live a healthy lifestyle and about the Newcastle United Foundation.

Meeting Peter was fab. I really enjoyed meeting a legand and Mr Scott was really into it.Meeting Deeno and Ben and training with them was the best!!!!

Peter beadsley was a real legand. My dad wants me to get his autograph! I really want to meet another famous person! Hopefully Frank lampard (he's my sporting hero, at leat i have his autograph)
