Year 3 Tennis Challenge

Yesterday, a Year 3 team competed in the Tony Blair Tennis Challenge at Heworth Grange. There were five teams altogether who played matches and a variety of skills activities.

It was an extremely competitive event with all children wanting to win whilst having a great deal of fun. At the end of the afternoon, Wardley ...

... came second on 55 points whilst first place went to Lingey House 1st team with 60 points.

Mr Malik was very proud of all the children who played as they were a credit to the school; they worked hard, congratulated each other and players from other schools, played fairly and behaved impeccably.

Each child received a certificate whilst gaining a runners up certificate for the school.
